On Wednesday 05-31-2017 Jasper County Sheriff’s Department deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Stringer area with a vehicle occupied by Christopher S. Phillips and Lisa M. Stringer for a traffic violation. When deputies approached the vehicle Lisa M. Stringer appeared to be attempting to swallow something. Upon further investigation the deputies located numerous controlled substances and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Lisa M. Stringer then later admitted to swallowing some of the controlled substances that were found in the vehicle.
As a result of the traffic stop Christopher S. Phillips was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance( 3 counts), misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance ( 3 counts), and multiple traffic violations. Phillips was also served with an outstanding contempt of court warrant.
Lisa M. Stringer was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance ( 3 counts), misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance ( 3 counts), and tampering with physical evidence.
Bond will be set by Judge Marvin Jones.
