Burglary suspect in custody

On November 11, 2017 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary call on Hwy 11 in the Beaver Meadow Community near Heidelberg. Upon arrival, Deputies gathered information and evidence that lead to the arrest of 18 year old De’Juan Parker. Stolen items from this burglary were recovered. This is an ongoing investigation because one unidentified suspect is still at large. Wanted!!!!

fThe Jasper County Sheriff’s Department is looking for James W. Johnson III aka (Trey) for Grand Larceny in Jasper County. Johnson lives on River Road in Stonewall MS, Clarke county. Johnson is also wanted in for similar charges in Clarke and Wayne counties. Burglary arrest made

On October 21,2017 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary of a home located on County Road 24 in the Fellowship area. Deputies and Investigators arrived and discovered that someone had broken into a home and took items. Deputies and Investigators viewed security cameras and where able to identify the suspects involved in this burglary. Deputies arrested Daquan Davis of Rosehill, Davia James of Clarke County and Bobby Stevens Jr. if Newton. Judge Dukes will set a bond on these suspects at a later date.

Joshua Jermaine Keyes , 34 years old, from Louin, Ms. is wanted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department on a bench warrant for felony child abuse. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact us at 6017642588.

Arrest made

On Wednesday 10-04-2017 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic safety check point in the Moss area.

During the checkpoint deputies observed evidence of what appeared to be marijuana in a vehicle driven by Jameal A. Bolden.

Upon further investigation deputies located substances believed to be marijuana and ecstasy inside the vehicle.

Jameal A. Bolden was transported to the Jasper County Jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance(felony), possession of marijuana(misdemeanor), and misdemeanor traffic charges.

Bond will be set at a later time.

Jasper County Sheriff’s Department received information on Thursday the 21st of September about a white male, identified as Chris Knotts attempting to sell 4 firearms that were not believed to be his. Deputies located Knotts and inquires about the firearms and took possession of them until the rightful owner could be determined.  The owner was identified and contacted, and is currently working out of state and was unaware that his firearms were taken. Upon further investigation it was learned that Barbara Leonardi was with Knotts when the firearms were taken. Bond will be set by Judge Marvin Jones at a later date, for the charge of grand larceny.

McMillian arrest

On August 11, 2017 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department received a call from Rush Hospital in Meridian,Ms in reference to a sexual assault of a minor child. Captain Robert Morris went to Rush Hospital and interviewed witnesses and recovered evidence to the case. Investigators and Deputies arrested Tommie C. McMillian, of Rosehill. Evidence was recovered from the scene and will be sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for examination. McMillian was charged with Sexual Battery and his bond will be set at a later date.

Ulmer Arrested

On 08-10-2017 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department and Bay Springs Police Department responded to a residence in Bay Springs to serve an outstanding arrest warrant on Bilbo Ulmer.

As Bilbo Ulmer was about to be taken into custody deputies observed Ulmer attempt to hide something near where he was sitting. Upon further investigation deputies located a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine. Bilbo Ulmer was taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County Jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance (felony), possession of marijuana (misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bilbo Ulmer was also charged with misdemeanor warrants through the Bay Springs Police Department.

Bond will be set at a later time.

Drug arrest

On 07-26-2017 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department arrested Randolph Jordan in the Rose Hill area for a sale of a controlled substance warrant.  The warrant was obtained based on an investigation into the distribution of controlled substances in the Rose Hill area.

At the time of his arrest Jordan was found to be in possession of a substance believed to be crack cocaine.

Randolph Jordan was transported to the Jasper County Jail where he was charged with sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.  Bond will be set at a later time.

Drug Arrest

On 07-25-2017 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department executed arrest warrants and a search warrant in the Heidelberg area in reference to an investigation into the distribution of controlled substances.

As a result of the investigation, Kenneth Ray Brown was charged with sale of a controlled substance ( 1 count), sale of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a church or daycare ( 2 counts), possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (2 counts), possession of controlled substance ( 1 count), and child abuse/ endangerment ( 1 count).

James Edward Arrington was also arrested as part of the investigation. Arrington was charged with sale of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a church or daycare ( 2 counts).

Both are being held at the Jasper County Jail. Bond will be set at a later time.
